How does LyttonOS AI target a CV?
LyttonOS AI is a single-page tool that reads a CV against a job description and hands back a targeted version — same facts, same structure, rewritten and pruned for relevance. It runs entirely in your browser. Your CV and the job description are never uploaded anywhere, and the call to Claude goes straight from your device to Anthropic.

Why the call runs in your browser, not on a server
A CV-length reply typically takes 60 to 90 seconds to generate, and can run a good deal longer for a lengthy CV or job description — which is longer than most web hosts allow a single request to run. Routing the call through the Lytton Studio server would mean building around that limit — and it would mean your CV and the job description passing through a server at all.
LyttonOS AI avoids both problems by calling the Anthropic API directly from your browser. There is no gateway to time out, and nothing to upload: the API key you enter is sent straight to Anthropic, is never saved, and never reaches the Lytton Studio server. Your CV and the job description are kept only in your browser's local storage, on your device, so a refresh or a re-run doesn't lose your draft — and that storage is one click from being cleared.
How to use it
2. Add a key — or try dryrun
Paste a real Claude API key to run it for real, or type dryrun to see exactly how the result screen works, with zero tokens spent and no scoring.
3. Generate
Usually 60–90 seconds, longer for a lengthy CV or job description — occasionally a couple of minutes. A live elapsed-time counter runs while Claude works. Paste just the role itself; stripping EEO, benefits and legal boilerplate out of the job description keeps the run quicker and more reliable.
4. Review, then export
Read the changes and gaps before the CV itself. Copy it, download it as a Word document, or save it as a PDF.
What it gives you back
Every run returns one structured result, not a chat reply. It is designed to be read in this order — the changes before the CV, so fact-drift is easy to catch.
Match fit & ways-of-working fit
Two separate scores out of 10. Match fit is evidence-only — how well the CV evidences what the job description actually asks for, scored against the right seniority level when an advert spans a band. Ways-of-working fit is scored independently: how the role is shaped — scope, ownership, process overhead — regardless of whether your CV matches it.
Targeted CV
Same structure, same facts. The Profile is rewritten and bullets are pruned for relevance. It is hard-locked never to invent, add, or alter a fact, date, employer, or figure.
Gaps
What the job description asks for that your CV doesn't evidence — named, not papered over.
Changes
What it actually did, and why. Meant to be read before the CV, specifically so you can catch fact-drift before it reaches an application.
Placeholders & inconsistencies
It also audits your CV against itself: unfilled template text left in from an earlier draft, and internal contradictions — such as a stated years-of-experience figure the dates don't actually support.
The guardrail that matters most
A tool that rewrites a CV is only useful if it can be trusted not to embellish it. LyttonOS AI is instructed to work only from what's already in the CV: it may reorder, prune, and rewrite the Profile, but it is never permitted to invent a skill, a metric, a date, or an employer. Where the CV falls short of the job description, that's reported as a gap — not quietly filled in.
