Case Study

eCommerce

Effective eCommerce is built on trust, clarity, and frictionless interaction. My work in this space focuses on improving user confidence, reducing abandonment, and strengthening the connection between brand, product, and user behaviour — especially in heritage and mission‑driven environments where trust is everything.

Purchase Journey

Users make purchase decisions in seconds. Clear messaging, predictable patterns, and trustworthy design reduce cognitive load and support confident purchasing behaviour.

In heritage and cultural organisations, the challenge is even sharper: users or members may be emotionally invested but still hesitant to transact online. My work focuses on removing friction, strengthening trust signals, and aligning digital experience with organisational values.

Purchase Journey Friction & Trust Signals

Heritage Organisation — UK

eCommerce Member Experience Trust Signals Checkout UX

Challenge: A heritage organisation's online shop suffered from low conversion rates and high abandonment. Customers hesitated at checkout due to unclear messaging, inconsistent trust signals, and friction in the payment flow.

What I did: Conducted a UX audit of the full purchase journey; identified trust gaps; clarified messaging around delivery, returns, and security; simplified the checkout layout; and aligned the experience with established eCommerce patterns customers already trust.

Outcome: Increased customer confidence, reduced abandonment, and a measurable uplift in completed transactions — achieved without a full redesign or engineering overhaul.
